At Durham E-Bikes our primary focus is ensuring that each and every one of our customers is completely satisfied with their riding experience. We have a Class "A", licensed motor vehicle mechanic on site for service, and we also offer a demonstration session for our customers in need of some instruction when picking up their new bike.

All New Purchased E-Scooters have Warranty / PDI /Shipping Fee of $160.00 each

- Front Tire Repair (tube replaced) : $60.00

- Rear Tire Repair (tube replaced) : $85.00

- Tubeless front or rear tire repair with motorcycle grade tire plug - $45.00

- Service #1 (includes front brake service only): $40.00

- Service #2 (includes rear brake service only): $70.00

- Service #3 (includes front and rear brake service) : $100.00 for Scooter Style

- Service for Large motorcycle style, 3 & 4 Wheeled Scooters : $145.00

- Electrical Diagnosis (1 hour minimum) : $90.00

- E-Scooter Wax and Polish : $20.00

*Additional fees may apply at the technician's discretion*

*If the technician has to disconnect the motor to complete the rear tire repairs, an additional fee will apply*

Battery Replacement cost:

  12 volt 20 ah Premium Gel cells $85.00 ea. Purchase 5 or more: $80 ea

12 volt 14 ah Premium SLA cells $65.00 ea. (replaces the old style 12v 12 ah cells)

12 volt 12 ah Performance SLA Cells $55.00 ea.

Durham E-Bike Battery installation cost is a 1 hour minimum, this includes installation of the new batteries, new wiring and connectors, sealed connector ends, and disposal of your old batteries. Additional charges may apply depending on the configuration of your batteries.

E-Bikes/E-scooters have a combination of 3 to 7 battery cells depending on the model. 

(ex. a 48 volt battery has four 12 volt cells inside the case.)

Installation into removable battery case: $40.00

Our Technician does not explain how to perform repairs, or diagnose service issues over the phone.

All service is performed on site, we do not have a mobile technician.  

  Leaving Your Bike For Service

We operate a service lineup. Your scheduled appointment is for the drop off date, repairs generally take 7-10 business days to be completed.

Our aim is always to get service completed on all customer bikes as quickly as possible to ensure that our riders get the most out of their riding season. Sometimes we must order parts or the repair requires more time to properly address and we must keep a customer's bike for longer than anticipated.

After receiving a phone call advising that repairs have been completed, customers are given five business days to come and retrieve their bike. If their bike is not picked up after five business days, customers will be charged a storage fee of $25.00 per week.

Unfortunately due to space limitations, we are unable to keep bikes around the shop after repairs are completed.  

Loading E-Scooters Being Picked Up & Unloading E-Scooters Being Dropped Off

Customers bringing bikes in for service are required to unload their e-scooter from their vehicle/trailer themselves. Durham E-Bikes staff are unable to provide assistance with the unloading process due to insurance coverage issues.

Customers picking up bikes and loading them into vehicles / onto trailers are solely responsible for loading and securing the bikes. Durham E-Bikes staff are unable to provide assistance with the loading and securing process due to insurance coverage issues.

If shipping in your electric bicycle for service or warranty coverage, all shipping charges are the sole responsibility of the owner, it is strongly suggested when shipping goods to purchase insurance.
